Mourners on Tuesday carry the caskets of the victims of an attack a day earlier on an engagement ceremony in Turkey's mostly Kurdish southeast. The 44 dead, which included three pregnant women, were buried side by side in the village of Bilge. Turkish authorities detained 11 suspects accused of killing the betrothed couple -- whose wedding they opposed -- along with the couple's relatives and friends. The deaths underscored the lengths to which some clans will go to defend family honor."
