Turkey is pressing the European Union to open the Energy Chapter of the EU accession talks, using the Nabucco Gas Pipeline (NGP) as leverage.
Turkish premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s statement of January 19, according to which his country would review its position on Nabucco if the Energy Chapter was blocked, has left its mark despite his calming words a day after."
