"Turkey embarks on diplomatic mission to achieve joint OIC policy
Ankara, 2 January – In protest against the current Israeli military offensive in the occupied and besieged Gaza Strip, a large number of Turkish parliamentarians resigned from the Turkey-Israel Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group. Concerned about the future of Israeli-Turkish military-industrial cooperation in the face of mounting popular protest demonstrations in Turkey, Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan embarked on an exploratory mission that already lead him to hold consultations with Syria and Jordan, and will continue with talks in Saudi Arabia tomorrow and with Egypt afterwards."
