"Turkish warplanes hit PKK targets in Iraq

ANKARA, Turkey - The military says Turkish warplanes have struck Kurdish rebel targets inside northern Iraq.
It says the jets bombed the Zap region, close to the Turkish border, Monday. A military statement said all planes returned to their bases safely and described the operation as 'effective.' There was no information on casualties."
