Bulgarian political party the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), which is led and supported mainly by Bulgarians of ethnic Turkish descent, has written a letter of protest to the European People's Party about a recent statement by Sofia mayor and political party leader Boiko Borissov supporting the 1980s forced renaming and conversion to Christianity of ethnic Turks."
