"What to Do in and Around Ankara, Turkey
Q: My daughter, son-in-law and two young boys (4 1/2 years and a 1 year old) are going to be moving to Ankara, Turkey, for a two-year stint. We will visit them, of course, and would like to know the best way to navigate Ankara and around the country.

A: Ankara has long played second fiddle to Istanbul, but there is a lot going on in Turkey’s capital that makes it a rewarding destination. Similar to your family, my wife and her family lived in Ankara when my father-in-law was the ambassador’s number two at the American embassy there and when his son was only 4-years-old as well. They have lots of fond memories in and around Ankara and made many trips throughout the country."
