While the economic crisis is seriously affecting the United States and European Union, luxurious cruise ships continue to bring the citizens of those countries to İzmir.Despite the economic crisis, there has been no decrease in the number of cruise tourists to İzmir. A total of 19 ships have come to the Alsancak port since Oct. 2 – more than the number of ships that came last month.A large number of tourists visit Efes, Kuşadası, Çeşme and Bergama after getting off the ship, while those who stay in İzmir take taxis and join city tours. It is impossible to find a place to sit on city buses, which are free for tourists. "
