4/9/2008 3:33:50 AM The greenback started moving up against the Turkish lira by about 2:15 am ET, Wednesday. The pair climbed to a 5-day high of 1.2988 from 1.2892 by about 3:15 am ET. The dollar-lira pair closed Tuesday's deals at 1.2921.
The US wholesale inventories report and speeches by the Fed chairman Ben Bernanke and Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Richard Fisher are expected to drive trading in New York session."
