"Turkish-US relations at its lowest ever
Ankara, 13 October - After the Turkish government recalled its ambassador to Washington in response to a vote in the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee labelling the massacre of Armenians during First World War a genocide, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Mahmut Bilman said it was unclear when the ambassador would return to Washington. Turkey's reaction has prompted fears within the US administration that the US military's use of Incirlik air base, from which the gross of supllies is currently reaching the US occupation forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, might be at stake, since Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned further action could be taken if the resolution is passed by the full House."
