For the first time in history, the people of my origin in Southern part of their homeland have been relatively successful to claim and protect their own identity and heritage for over a decade with democratic and peaceful means. This has created much fear in the mind of those who do not tolerate spread of democracy and human rights such as the governments in Tehran, Damascus, and Ankara, worst of which seems to be the latter."
