"İstanbul breaks tourism records
Tourism figures for the last six months in Istanbul have been announced, showing record highs with no major slowdown in sight.
In the first half of 2007, 2,831,000 tourists visited İstanbul. In comparison to the same time last year, the number of tourists increased by 22 percent. While 554,000 tourists came in June, the biggest month was in May, with 586,000 visitors."
