Nowhere is the United States more unpopular today than in Turkey.
That was the inglorious conclusion reached at the end of June by pollsters from the Washington-based Pew Research Center. Only 9% of those Turks who were asked as part of a global survey said they held a favourable view of the U.S. That put Turkish support for U.S. President George W. Bush's America in 47th place in what was a 47-country study."
