"Turkish president calls on citizens to vote in upcoming general elections
Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer Friday called on the citizens to vote in the upcoming general elections, saying 'this is vital for the future of Turkish Republic.'
Sezer made the call in a message released to mark the May 19 Youth and Sports Day and the 88th anniversary of the start of Turkey's independence war when Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of modern Turkey, arrived in the Black Sea city of Samsun during the collapse of Ottoman empire."
