Thousands gathered in İzmir's Konak square on Sunday to bid their final farewells to 29 people who lost their lives in a tragic bus accident that shocked the nation on Saturday.
A funeral was held in the western city İzmir on Sunday for second-graders who were killed when their bus crashed into a truck in the province of Aksaray.
On Sunday a funeral ceremony was held in İzmir's Konak square for the victims killed when a bus carrying second graders, teachers and some parents from an İzmir elementary school crashed on to way to the central Anatolian tourist attraction of Cappadocia in the province of Nevşehir. The accident occurred on a highway near the city of Aksaray, close to Cappadocia, but as of Sunday details about the incident remain unclear. The bus had left İzmir on Friday night for an overnight trip."
