International retailers are flooding into Turkey to cater to an eager cadre of shoppers in one of Europe's fastest-growing neighbors, the Wall Street Journal wrote last week. In Istanbul alone Turkish Minister of Tourism Atilla Koç announced last week at the Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair (EMITT) in Istanbul that there are plans to build 75 new hotels. Shopping malls are filling the city, he added, indicating that there is a market of consumers among Turkey's rising middleclass. "
