Sir, I write to correct some clear misunderstandings in your report “Priest suspended in evangelism row” (Feb 1).
I am to host a meeting in Turkey, which aims to co-ordinate the work and efforts of Anglican clergy serving the diocese in that country. This “consultation” follows a similar visit to Greece which proved beneficial for the clergy and churches over such a diverse and wide geographical area. I have invited all Anglican clergy in Turkey and others involved in Christian ministry to meet in order to develop a consensus among them and to assist them in their work."
