BRUSSELS, Belgium: Flirting with disaster has long been a hallmark of Turkey's bid to join the European Union.
Its refusal to recognize and trade with EU member Cyprus has set off a flurry of diplomatic activity that's bound to last right up to the Dec. 14-15 EU summit at which European leaders may partially freeze Ankara's entry talks."
