Turkey was allocated 1,602 mln euros from European Union (EU funds) for the 3 year period from 2007 to 2009.
Against a backdrop of anticipations to receive a bigger portion of the budget, Turkey will receive grants totaling 497 million euros in year 2007, 539 million euros in 2008, and 566 million euros in 2009, it has been reported. "
