Finally…Monday…So exciting! On Monday, GMF had the pleasure to host Turkish Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Chief Negotiator for EU accession Ali Babacan, former U.S. Ambassdor to the UN and Special Envoy to Cyprus Richard Holbrooke, as well as Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rhen for a debate on the current state of Turkey’s relations with the West. We all have worked very hard on this event and given the fact that the EU has just issued the its Progress Report on Turkey last week, the timing was just perfect."
