Melik SEVCAN (JTW) Mesut Barzani, the Kurdish leader of Northern Iraq, argued that “the Kurdish movement in Turkey has been considered terrorist. Calling it terrorist do not contribute to the peace. Turkey’s labeling Kurdish movement as terrorist is a mistake”, Hurriyet Turkish daily reported. Turkey names only the separatist PKK movement as terrorist. The PKK is on the terrorist organizations list of the US and the EU. The Iraqi and many other Middle Eastern governments also call the PKK as terrorist. Barzani had also decalered to make co-operation to combat against the PKK terrorism. According to the terrorism experts Barzani tries to use the PKK to gain influence over the Turkey Kurds. "
