Today sees start of International Drama Festival
The Fourth Cyprus International Drama Festival starts today with Ankara National Theatre's play entitled 'Salome'. The Festival is organised jointly by the Turkish Municipality of Nicosia, the Municipality of Famagusta and the Municipality of Kyrenia and will continue until September 8. Festival activities will be staged at various locations in the three cities and will comprise of 12 groups performing 27 plays in 22 days. The Mayor of Famagusta Oktay Kayalp read out the common declaration prepared by the three mayors at the press conference when he emphasised that the three municipalities attached great importance to culture and art. "
