The human lifespan might be longer nowadays than it used to be before, but it is nevertheless limited. Although it is not a very long period of time for a country, 83 years means a lot of experience regarding humankind. We are losing very precious people raised in the republican period, and who have made significant contributions in society, one after the other. Recently we have lost music educator Muzaffer Arıkan (1923-2006), who was also a choir conductor and the person who introduced choir music to Turkey. "
