Turkey is entering an election period and it will be difficult for the ruling Justice and Development Party in Ankara to take radical steps toward European Union membership and will be very difficult to find a solution to the Cyprus issue in the next three to four months, for example, said Tulu Gümüştekin, a consultant who advises companies and nongovernmental organizations about EU policy."
