"Fortis Bank to sell two subsidiaries
14:18 - 27 February 2006 - Fortis Bank A.S announced that it decided to sell its 99.8% share in the leasing company Fortis Finansal Kiralama to Fortis Lease Group for EUR 23.5mn.
Furthermore, the bank will sell its 99% stake in Fortis Factoring to Fortis Commercial Finance Holding for EUR 17.1bn. Fotris Bank A.S expects a total of TRY 12mn (EUR 17.2mn) proceeds from the share sales.
The statement released by Fortis Bank also noted that if any profit is generated from the share sales, it will be added to the bank’s paid-in capital."
