ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey signalled on Monday it was preparing a fresh bid to resolve the decades-old Cyprus problem, which threatens Ankara's efforts to join the European Union.
Cyprus, ethnically split since 1974, comprises an internationally recognised Greek Cypriot south and a smaller, poorer Turkish Cypriot north backed only by Ankara."
