"Turkey: Turkish Companies Invest Big Abroad
11:55 - 19 January 2006 - The Ankara Trade Chamber (ATO) prepared a report, which showed that $7,8 billion of Turkish capital was removed from Turkey to be invested abroad in the last 25 years.
The total native capital which was transferred abroad during the economic crises of 2000 and 2001 is two thirds of the total amount, i.e. $2,6 billion.
Turkish companies that left Turkey due to economic crises, chose the Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Britain, Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, Romania and the Virgin Islands for investment."
