Armenia-Russia: reaction to the rise in the gas tariff
The Russian gas price for Armenia will not be raised until Apr 1 2006. According to the preliminary agreement, Apr 1 the price will make up $110 for 1,000 c m, Radio Liberty Armenia reports Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan as saying Jan 13 and noting that this figure is not final, as the issue will be discussed again by Armenian and Russian Presidents Robert Kocharyan and Vladimir Putin in late Jan. Margaryan assures that the rise will not be painful for the consumers."
