The United States and Turkey are seeking common ground for a convergent policy on Ankara’s southeastern neighbors — Iran, Iraq and Syria — nearly three years after the relationship between the two NATO allies unraveled over the Iraq war.
The renewed high-level diplomatic, military and intelligence talks come as Washington and Ankara are drawn together by their shared belief that Tehran’s nuclear efforts are aimed at obtaining an atomic bomb."
