TÜSİAD also called on the government to lead solution efforts in Cyprus, warning that continued division is not in Turkey's interest.
�Turkey must definitely take the initiative and create settlement formulas,� said TÜSİAD's Mustafa Koç. He said the continuing division of the island would mean the continuing isolation of the Turkish Cypriots and the Greek Cypriot administration remaining the sole legal representative of the island. In Brussels, Bahadir Kaleağası, TÜSİAD's representative there, called on the 25-nation bloc to take a more active role in securing a settlement to the Cyprus division. "
