Turkey allocates 3.7 percent of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on education, the recent United Nations Human Development Report 2005 indicated.

Turkey spends 3.7 percent of its GDP on education. The corresponding figures for top-place Norway was 7.6 percent, 5.5 percent for the US and 5.3 percent for United Kingdom, according to the 2003 figures.

The rate of budget allocated for education has gradually increased, the GDP showed."
