Turkey is counting days for the upcoming negotiations. Thus, the debate over Turkey’s accession to the European Union has got more intense while the day of negotiations is approaching. These debates are very crucial since they do not just reflect the initiation of a process which will determine the result. Here, what draws attention is not the nature of the process, but the question of whether Turkey is appropriate enough for full membership. As this is the case, we should firstly grasp the meaning of “full membership”, then analyse what implications the term has for both parties, Turkey and EU countries."
