Turkey Has To Make 50 Billion Euro Investment In Environment
''Turkey has to make investments worth 50 billion Euro in environment within the framework of adjustment to European Union (EU),'' Turkish Environment and Forestry Ministry Undersecretary Hasan Zuhuri Sarikaya said on Wednesday.
''Turkish-French Colloquium on Environment'', where experiences of Turkey and France would be exchanged in urban and industrial areas, has started today.
Sarikaya said there were many investments Turkey should do during the process of adjustment to the EU, and noted that public and private sectors and the municipalities need sources to make investments in this area.
''The ministry is responsible for the coordination. Local administrations should act together to upgrade the quality of services,'' he noted.
