Istanbul 2020: Wheelchair World Championships basketball win adds momentum for Paralympic bid

November 1 - Turkey’s wheelchair basketball team, the Galatasaray Able Lions, won the World Club Championship in last October. Istanbul 2020 Bid Committee Executive, Ali Kiremitçioğlu, said this victory for the undefeated team is sure to bolster Istanbul’s bid to host the 2020 Paralympic Games.
