Iran to double power exports to Turkey within 45 days

Tehran Times reported that Iran will double exports of electricity to Turkey to nearly 400 MW hours within the next 45 days.
Mr Abdolhamid Farzam an official at the Energy Ministry said that “At present, Iran exports some 190 megawatt-hours of electricity to Turkey. Turkey has expressed readiness to boost electricity imports from Iran. Over 8.6 billion KWH of electricity was exported last year which ended on March 19th 2012. The figure was 30% higher compared to the year before.
