Turkish FM Defies Syria's Threat to Harbor PKK Insurgents

Turkey's foreign minister said Syria do not have the courage to make such a mistake as to harbor the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) to endanger Turkey's national security despite the ongoing friction on ties, the semi- official Anatolia news agency reported Friday.
Speaking at a press conference in the capital of Ankara, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Turkey's relations with Syria reached the brink of military conflict in 1998 before Syria expelled PKK head Abdullah Ocalan under Turkey's pressure.
