"Rights group slams media arrests in Turkey

Ankara. Human Rights Watch on Saturday denounced the recent arrests of journalists in Turkey, an EU candidate nation, saying the move would have a 'chilling effect on free speech', AFP reported.
Raiding homes early on Thursday, Turkish police detained 10 people, most of them journalists, drawing condemnation from the EU and international media watchdogs."
