"Nevruz belongs to everyone, Turkish minister says
Nevruz is a festival that belongs to everyone, not only a certain nation, group or region, Turkey's culture and tourism minister said Monday.
Minister Ertuğrul Günay said the Turkish state used to take unbelievable measures a decade or two decades ago to prevent people from celebrating the spring holiday."
