The Turkish people’s deep civilizational roots and aspirations of living in an advanced information society and democracy in the 21st century justify the highest political focus on the gender equality. Turkey is an interesting case from this point of view. On the one hand, the women rights have been implemented since the beginning of the Republic in 1923. Since 1935, Turkish women are elected to the national parliament. Turkey had in the recent past woman prime minister, President of Constitutional Court, as well as ministers of interior, economy, education and so on."
