A money transfer between two bank branches in Istanbul and Ankara has turned into a major embarrassment for US officials, according to a story by daily Vatan. US officials reportedly took action as the branch at the receiving end was situated on the ‘Tehran Avenue’ in Ankara – leading them to believe the bank was in Iran, Vatan says. An international body at the center of the claims has refuted the story"
