TURKISH delight is one of those sweets you either love or hate. The delicate gummy jelly is made from slowly cooked sugar syrup, thickened with cornflour. Traditionally flavoured with rosewater, the Turkish lokum, as it is known there, is poured into trays and left to set. Cut into squares, it is dusted liberally in icing sugar. "More:
