"Billy Mehmet has joined Turkish club Genclerbirligi on a two-year deal with a one-year option to extend his stay.
The St Mirren striker, 26, will move on a Bosman free transfer on 1 July when his contract expires.
Saints chairman Stewart Gilmour said: 'I'm sad to see him go. Billy was a successful player for us. If he feels a move is right, we wish him well.'"
