DIYARBAKIR, Turkey — Five members of Turkey's security forces, a civilian and a Kurdish militant were killed in a string of Kurdish separatist attacks Saturday, officials and media reports said.
The clashes came as jailed Kurdish rebel leader Abdullah Ocalan reportedly decided to abandon efforts to seek dialogue with the Turkish government."
