"Evaluation of the European Parliament Report on Turkey

The General Assembly of the European Parliament approved the report of Turkey on February 11, 2010. The report was based on the evaluation of political and legal reforms in Turkey, and the questionable equity of criticism, particularly about the Cyprus issue, has provoked strong reactions at both the national and international platforms. It has been asked that Turkey withdraw its soldiers immediately from the island, by addressing the issue of the settlement of Turkish citizens on the island and to clear the issue of the properties of Turkish immigrants, while keeping quiet on the other parties’ roles and responsibilities over the solutions."
