"EIB lends 718 million euros to Turkey
The European Investment Bank, or EIB, has granted a sum of 718 million euros for rail transport, electricity distribution, energy efficiency and renewable energy in Turkey.
The bank said in a statement on Thursday that the loan of 293 million euros to the Turkish State Railways, or TCDD, would support Turkey's main transport corridor between Ankara and Istanbul. The additional funding brings the total support for the project to 850 million euros."
