Kurdish rebels have kidnapped a provincial official of the ruling party in eastern Turkey, the Turkish news agency Dogan reported Monday.
Police special forces backed by helicopters were searching for Ali Askin, who was seized at gunpoint by two members of the PKK group in Tunceli province on Sunday evening. "
