THE GREEK Cypriot side was clearly annoyed yesterday after Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat broke the embargo on talking about the new negotiations.
“It certainly doesn’t help,” President Demetris Christofias muttered on his way to a meeting at ruling AKEL headquarters yesterday evening.
Immediately after the two leaders met on Thursday to discuss governance and power-sharing in their first meeting on substantive issues, Talat gave an interview to Turkish TRT television discussing his positions."
