Turks may be gate crashing in many sports nowadays, but count tennis out in that matter, because unlike other disciplines, the game is still struggling to survive. Take the fourth edition of the WTA Istanbul Cup as a striking example: No Turkish players could advance to the second round, and nearly the entire tournament was played in front of early seats.
