The Netherlands - Holiday trips to Turkey canceled as Sun Travel goes bust
More than 2,000 would-be holiday-makers who booked a trip to Turkey via Sun Travel have had their holidays canceled According to SGR, a foundation which insures passengers against bankruptcy of travel agents, the Maastricht-based group has run into major financial problems and is unable to pay hotel and airline bills. The managing director of SGR has confirmed that Sun Travel has officially declared its bankruptcy to the foundation.
