In general in European societies you rarely see that ‘European’ and ‘muslim’ are mentioned in one sentence. There are Turkish muslims, Somali muslims, Moroccan muslims, Indian muslims, Dutch muslims, etc. And within those communities there are again a lot of different religious movements. Still, they have something in common: they are all muslim, and they are all European. Since defining European values is an ongoing process, I want to underline the importance of finding a common vision of Europe and having a shared responsibility for it, muslims and non-muslims alike."
