I have heard many people compare cities to people. Carrie did it in "Sex and the City" a few years ago. Carrie was a single woman who decided that she didn't want to feel miserable about her lonely life any more so she decided to make New York her boyfriend. When I first watched this episode, I thought it was a strange idea but now I'm not so sure. Plenty of Istanbul residents compare Istanbul to a woman. I have even met Turkish people in Australia who do it. One man in particular even used the words �I love Istanbul like it is a woman.� "
